Isaiah 61:1

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

The vision for this house is beyond ourselves

You have already been living in that but there is so much more that we can do.

It starts right here in our own back yard with those in our world.

The Won by one card

Our invite cards

Local outreaches and prisons that we are already serving in

Honduras and the outreach that this church has been serving in there.

Missions trips within our Grace International family

  1. Good Tidings to the poor

I never knew what the poor were until I went to India

Matthew 5:3

Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven

Tales of India

Once you have seen it you cant unsee it!

One of the ways that we can see our vision for the church unfold for young people is to expose them to the fields of harvest.

2. Heal the brokenhearted

Matthew 5:4

Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted

Billy Sunday

In our brokenness there is life for others

Starts with intercession that is happening while I preach every week

I need your prayers

3.  Proclaim liberty to the captives

Matthew 5:7

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy

We have captives all around us

They are captive to strongholds

Strongholds are bad ways of thinking

When you have something good happen to you a merciful person wants others to experience the same thing

Because you learn that if you need mercy you must give mercy

Stress from life, pressures of life that is where a merciful person comes in they give mercy to someone who is captive to the stress of the stronghold the enemy has surrounded them with.

A mother overcome by the needs of her children here comes mercy

A young man who does not know how to fix a problem at his house here comes mercy

It brings a sense of liberty to a situation that held you captive remember America was not free when they wrote the Declaration of Independence

That was the proclamation of liberty

There was a war to fight!

The merciful give courage to the captive to receive the proclamation that they can be free.

4.  Opening of the prison to the bound

Many prisoners that I have met have more freedom in their hearts then those not in prison.

Because they have already experienced the opening of the prison of their hearts.

The exception was our experience in Gorky Russia in 1993 we visited two prisons one that had never had the gospel presented and one that had

The area that we were in had been closed to the gospel for 70 years

It was a women’s prison

Every woman responded

They devoured the boxes of bibles

It was their day of liberation

Remember God has anointed the church to do these things

Things beyond ourselves to bring His love and blessings to others

The offering
