UPDATE - JULY 1, 2009

A New Beginning . . . . In January 2009 Pastor Ed Jennings of Church on the Lake and Pastor Jim Sherrill of Church on the Rock, met to discuss the possibility of joining Church on the Rock and Church on the Lake together to strengthen both churches, and most importantly, God’s Kingdom. They spent many hours in prayer and discussions together and developed a vision of two churches coming together as one; each bringing its unique strengths and talents. On February 7, they shared their vision of a church marriage between the two churches. Since then they and the leadership of both churches have been working diligently to unite these two churches together as one church family with two campuses. On June 28, 2009, we saw the vision moving forward as we began having two services each Sunday, one at the Rock campus and one at the Lake campus. The services will start at 9:45 a.m. at the Rock and at 10:45 a.m. at the Lake. Please feel free to attend either one! On July 1, 2009 we began joint Wednesday services. The first Wednesday of each month, we’ll have a “Fellowship Feast” at the Lake campus with a potluck dinner, games and swimming in the lake. The other Wednesdays we will be meeting at the Rock campus where the larger building will enable us to expand the Spectrum Bible Study classes. Wednesday services at both campuses will start at 7:00 p.m. We believe that this marriage between Church on the Rock and Church on the Lake is just an initial step towards fulfilling God’s eternal plan and purpose for His Church in the Lake Livingston area. Remember! The vision is “One church with two campuses!”

Nestled between Livingston and Onalaska on Lake Livingston is a place called Church On The Lake – a people of many generations reaching out to all generations. There is a special place here just for you.  At COTL we are not concerned about where you have been – we care only about where you are going.  We want to be a part of your journey.  We are a church family that likes to celebrate life and faith in a dynamic and scriptural manner.  Join us at COTL and become a part of a growing church family that puts God first.
